"Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." Hebrews 10:25
When asked why people go to church where they do, it is so common to hear answers like, "because it is where my family has always gone" or "I just figured I could go to any church and meet my obligations to God." When asked why some people do not go to church, it is typical to hear responses such as, "people at church don't care about me and besides, I don't look quite right or dress a certain way or have the 'right' last name".
So come as you are, in every way. This means anybody and everybody. We want to love and accept all people regardless of their past, present, and future spiritual, emotional, or physical conditions. All that matters is that you come, whoever you are and however you come. God loves and receives us. Jesus says to his Father, "Then the world will know that You sent me and will understand that You love them as much as You love me." John 17:18
